Mongolia is a landlocked country in Asia, bordered by Russia and China. Ulan Bator, the country's capital city, is home to around half of the country's population. It is however, the world's most sparsely populated country, with a total population of around 2.75million people.
The Trans-Mongolian Railway is the country's main link to its neighbours. Many of the roads within the country are simply gravel tracks, although the principal routes to the borders are paved.
