Greece Suspends International Rail Travel

As a result of Greece's ongoing economic difficulties, it has chosen to suspend all international rail routes to/from the country.

Unfortunately, this means that you will no longer be able to access the country by train, which you could have done previously via destinations including Belgrade, Istanbul and Sofia.

There are still plenty of overland travel options for reaching Greece however, most of which rely on the ferry network. Visit the Bari or Venice pages for more route information.
